Start of a new Adventure

Got the truck all loaded and ready to go! It is 7pm and we are hitting the road for our 2026 Spring Break Road Trip!

We are heading to Southern Utah, starting in Moab, we stayed in Battle Ground WA on Thursday Night, Twin Falls ID on Friday night and arrived in Moab on Saturday April 4th.

This year for spring break we decided to rent an RV and head down the Pacific Coast to the Redwoods of Northern California and then back through Bend, OR and Crater Lake National Park.  O and K are much older since our last RV trip.  Looking Forward to it.

Storm Game

 Headed over to Seattle for a basketball game against the storm versus Chicago sky unfortunately the storm lost. It was a fun evening, which ended with a late night power scooter ride through Seattle to get back to the ferry. 

Fay Bainbridge to Oyster Plant Park - Kayak with Bits

 This morning started with a little game of pickle ball with Katherine and her friend Ida and her dad Jeff.  Fun easy game to play, it was awesome every court (6) had 4 people enjoying the game.  Then it was off to do the shuttle service.  The plan was to drive to Fay Bainbridge and drop off the boats, then drive back to Oyster Plant Park, then bike back to the boats.  Well it all worked out swell although I am a bit tired.  Roughly a 9 mile bike ride that took about 40 mins, and the roughly 9 mile paddle took us about 3 hours with a stop at the Key Port Mercantile.  It was a great Sunday.

Father's Day Snowy Extravaganza

 Got everyone out to the woods on Fathers Day to hike Mount Zion.  It is in the foothills of the olympic mountains.  Ended up being a pretty cold day with Snow on the summit.
